Scitec Nutrition Fireworks Review

|

Scitec Fireworks caught our attention after we saw the luminescent green container. It reminded us of the incredible hulk, so we were interested to see whether it would deliver skin-splitting pumps to turn us into an animal.

Claimed to promote:

  • Energy
  • Strength
  • Endurance

We noticed that Scitec haven’t claimed to deliver enhanced muscle pumps, which is one of the the main advantages we look for when choosing a pre-workout. However, if this product is still able to offer the benefits listed, then it’ll still be a good product.

Take a look:

About The Company

Scitec Nutrition are well-known for creating a wide-range of supplements, from protein powders to pre-workout supplements like Firework.

We also noticed that they sponsor some high level athletes such as Cedric McMillan and Zsuzsanna Toldi. However, apart from that, their website didn’t tell us much more about this company.

So let’s move onto taking a look at which ingredients are inside Scitec Firework.

The Ingredients and How They Work

Scitec are usually guilty of packing their supplements with an excess of ingredients (it’s not unusual to see over 10 ingredients in 1 of their products).

However, they seem to have learned from their mistakes, adding a total of 9 nutrients into Scitec Fireworks.

Not only that; we’re also happy to see that Scitec Nutrition have provided the exact dosages of each ingredient – even though they appear to be listed under blends.

So we’re glad that Scitec haven’t hidden their ingredients in any blends. Let’s see whether the nutrients inside are actually reliable and effective.

L-Arginine

This is the first nutrient inside Scitec Fireworks, but it isn’t the best start. Why?

Answer: L-arginine has a poor absorption rate, meaning it’s not very effective when consumed orally in a supplement.

As a result, we companies often prefer to add Citrulline Malate instead; CM converts into l-arginine in your body, solving the issue of the absorption rate.

Alpha-Ketoglutarate Calcium

It’s the first time we’ve seen alpha-ketoglutarate calcium inside a product before. And after doing our research, no study has shown that it’s actually useful – making it an useless addition to Scitec Fireworks.

L-Carnitine

This is the first great ingredient inside Scitec Fireworks. L-carnitine has shown to reduce muscle fatigue and damage, while improving your focus during your gym session.

As a result, we believe l-carnitine is one of the key ingredients you should look out for in pre-workout supplements. Scitec has done well to dose this optimally at 500mg too, so there’s no problems here.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine

In case your wondering, l-carnitine has different forms, and acetyl-l-carnitine is simply a different form to l-carnitine l-tartrate.

You’ll be glad to know that acetyl-l-carnitine has shown to be even more effective at reducing your muscle fatigue and damage – as well as delivering the added benefit of slightly boosting fat loss.

For this reason, acetyl-l-carnitine is our favorite form of l-carnitine. Another great addition to Scitec Nutrition here.

L-Glutamine

From good to bad…l-glutamine is a amino acid found naturally in dietary protein. However, it’s failed to prove itself in numerous studies.

As a result, we believe that l-glutamine is an unreliable ingredient.

L-Ornithine

L-ornithine isn’t a very useful ingredient on its own. Basically, it’s shown to be effective at reducing ammonia levels – but this isn’t really a problem for normal people anyway (in extremely rare circumstances, a high-protein diet can raise your ammonia levels. But we’ll repeat, this is very unusual).

Ascorbic Acid

Scitec have tried to fool you into thinking this is better than it is; l-ascorbic acid is bascially vitamin c.

While this isn’t a bad thing, you can get vitamin c inside cheap $1 supplements. As a result, this isn’t really needed in Scitec Fireworks pre-workout.

Choline Bitartrate

In a nutshell, choline is an ingredient we always try to stay away from. Why? Because it can cause fishy odors in your breath and body secretions, which isn’t something we want to suffer from.

But the worst news, is that choline hasn’t shown to deliver any useful benefits to improve your gym session – making it a useless nutrient in Scitec Fireworks.

Nicotinamide

Nicotinamide is a vitamin found in foods. However, it’s not a key ingredient when added into pre-workout supplements.

As a result, this is an ineffective nutrient inside Scitec Fireworks.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • L-Carnitine reduces muscle fatigue and improves focus

Cons:

  • Contains many ineffective nutrients
  • Choline can cause a side effect
  • No ingredients to enhance energy or muscle pumps

Side Effects

We’ve mentioned that choline can cause a side effect, so we’ll repeat it for this section here. In a nutshell, choline has been reported to cause fishy odors in your breath and body secretions.

Review Conclusion

While we won’t be recommending you to try this pre-workout, it’s actually one of the less potentially harmful supplements by Scitec; most of them are filled with proprietary blends, so it’s good that Scitec Fireworks doesn’t contain any.

However, the only proven ingredients in Scitec Fireworks is acetyl-l-carnitine and carnitine-l-tartrate. Unfortunately, the rest of this pre=workout’s nutrient profile is made-up from ineffective ingredients – with betaine even being able to cause side effects.

As a result, we recommend that you look at our highest rated pre-workouts on the market, to ensure you get the best deal available.
