From Cellucor comes P6 PM – the supplement that supposedly boosts your testosterone while you sleep.
As one of the main times your body secretes hormones is after you’ve gone to bed, Cellucor believe their product supplies you with the nutrients you need to get the most out of this process.

We were very surprised with what we found.
But first, here’s a little about Cellucor.
In terms of the supplement industry, Cellucor is a big name. Mainly for the success that they’ve had with their pre-workout C4.
They’ve got a lot of history behind them and are one of the most trustworthy brands for using authentic ingredients in approved facilities.
Cellucor produce a range of supplements that cater to moments before, after and during exercise.
They’re effectiveness however, all comes down the product’s formulation.
Here’s the low down on P6 PM.
Cellucor P6 PM predictably only has one serving per day – just before bed.
Although this is good for promoting sleep, it’s not the best for promoting testosterone.
For the best results your body needs to be constantly supplied with testosterone boosting nutrients, with around 3 – 4 servings a day being enough to keep the levels ‘topped up’ (as long as the ingredients are correct).
I was a little disappointed with P6 PM, mainly because it uses proprietary blends. This means we know what ingredients have gone into this testosterone booster – but not how much.
This makes it difficult to know how effective the ingredients will be as we have no idea what the dosages are.
Here are the ingredients:
Vitamin B6 – A vital nutrient that supports energy levels and may have some ties to estrogen suppression by how it interacts with the body’s hormonal pathway – slowing gene activity of the female hormone.
Magnesium – A great mineral that helps promote free testosterone. Magnesium inhibits the Sex Hormone Binding Globulin your body which binds with testosterone making it unusable. With SHBG inhibited, it struggles to do this and allows for more T to circulate in your bloodstream.
Zinc – This mineral on the other hand helps with the production of Testosterone. Supporting several reactions in the brain, Zinc increases your body’s production of the luteinizing hormone (LH) which is a precursor to testosterone and growth hormone.
Tribulus Terrestris – Unfortunately this isn’t a great ingredient to use in a T-Booster.
Originally thought to boost testosterone, further study has shown that Trib makes no difference to the production your T-cells whatsoever, at most it supports libido.
L-Theanine – An amino acid used to promote relaxation – no doubt to help promote sleep to support the rest features of this product.
Passionflower – Like L-Theanine, this is another nutrient that’s used for relaxation and to help with sleep.
The only problem with this nutrient is the dosage – anywhere between 3 – 10mg per kg of body weight should have some effect, however it’s unclear how much in this T-booster as it falls under a proprietary blend.
GABA – Known as the ‘downer’ neurotransmitter that helps you relax and promotes sleep without exerting any depressive effects (when used exclusively).
The only problem is ingesting GABA can be tricky. The nootropic can only work by passing the blood-brain barrier, which it struggles to do when swallowed. It’s a poor choice in this product.
Melatonin – Technically a hormone, Melatonin is a big nutrient when it comes to fighting insomnia. This is what’s secreted in our brains to regulate sleep. It is non addictive, and will definitely help you sleep at night.
One of the main things this product seems to do effectively is promote sleep, as for the testosterone angle there are definitely better choices out there.

The only side effect you’ll notice with this product is drowsiness – although that is the aim. Follow the directions and be sure to take this product around bed time and not before.
Overall this product seems like a good idea, however, the ingredients used stopped P6 PM pulling it off.
It contains Zinc and Magnesium, which is great for boosting T and promoting free testosterone – however you need more than that to make a serious difference.
The rest of the ingredients seem to go towards promoting sleep and not much else – plus these are all wrapped in a proprietary blend – we don’t know how effective it will be at helping you catch those Z’s.
Then add on top of that the serving schedule being only once a day and the odds are really stacked against this supplement.
