Instant Knockout vs Animal Cuts
Instant Knockout and Animal Cuts are 2 well-respected fat burners in the supplements industry. But which one is better? You’ll find the answers in this review.
Claimed to promote:
- Fat Loss
Interestingly, we found that only Instant Knockout offered appetite suppression, so on first impression it would take an early lead.
However, we’ll be checking whether each fat burner contains the right ingredients to actually deliver on their claims.
Take a look:
About The Companies
Roar Ambition are a premium supplements company, which markets a range of supplements – including a Instant Knockout, a testosterone booster and a pre-workout.
We like that they haven’t released countless different products, and stuck with specialized supplements instead; this could be why all 3 of their products are now market-leaders in their fields.
But it’s always interesting to see how Roar Ambition competes with the bigger companies in the industry.
When trying to learn more about Universal Nutrition, we were surprised to see that there website was so difficult to manoeuvre; it took a while for us to actually find the ‘about us’ page.
But in all fairness, while their about page was also hard to move around on, it contained some good information on there. So no complaints from us.
Anyway, enough about the companies and their websites. Let’s get to the important things and see which product contains the better ingredients.
The Ingredients and How They Work
In this section, we’ll examine which ingredients both products have in common; this way, we can start by seeing which fat burner contains the better ingredients.
So without wasting anymore time, see for yourself:
Green Tea Extract
This is the first ingredient that both supplements have in common; it’s a great fat burning thermogenic that’s shown to be reliable in studies, so this is good.
However, as both products contain different dosages of green tea extract, it’s easy to see which is more effective (Instant Knockout contains 500mg, while Animal Cuts contains under with 300mg).
Ultimately, studies have shown that 500mg is the optimal doage of GTE, so Instant Knockout scores some early points here.
Round 1 Results: Instant Knockout
Green Coffee Bean Extract
We’re glad that both fat burners contain this nutrient, as green coffee bean extract has also shown to be an effective ingredient at helping you shred body fat.
However, this decision is closer to call; both contain almost the same dosages too, so there isn’t an clear winner – even though Instant Knockout contains a slightly higher amount.
As a result, we’ll call this one a draw.
Round 2 Results: Draw
Just in case you’re wondering, this is the cayenne pepper chilli that’s been added to both Instant Knockout and Animal Cuts.
Why have they added chilli into their fat burners? Answer: it’s proven to help you lose body fat by raising your metabolism.
Again, both contain similar amounts of cayenne pepper, so we’ll call this another draw.
Round 3 Results: Draw
Many fat burners contain stimulants, so you don’t feel too tired while trying to lose fat (as naturally, you’ll have to lower your calorie intake).
However, you probably know that consuming too much caffeine results in jitters and eventually, an energy crash. Well, this is exactly what happens when there are massive dosages of caffeine anhydrous in fat burners.
Fortunately, neither Instant Knockout or Animal Cuts contains too much caffeine, which is good news. However, Animal Cuts contains numerous other stimulants that can cause side effects – so you’ll still be likely to suffer jittery side effects with this fat burner
As a result, we’ll be handing the round to Instant Knockout.
Round 4 Results: Instant Knockout
Now that we’ve looked at which ingredients Instant Knockout and Animal Cuts have in common, we’ll now see which has the better ‘unique’ nutrients.
Ultimately, by the end of this round, you’ll get a better feel about which fat burner is more effective and better value for money.
There’s a chance you haven’t heard about glucomannan before, but you might have heard of it by it’s other name – konjac root.
Nope? We tried..
Anyway, glucomannan is able to expand in your stomach to make you feel fuller. It’s also known as a very low carb and calorie option, which is why it’s used to create ‘zero cal’ rice or noodles increasingly.
While trying Instant Knockout, we did realize that we felt less hungry before meals – so we’re guessing this is why.
So glucomannan might not help your burn extra calories, but it helps you cut your calorie intake, which is equally as effective.
Chromium is found inside green vegetables, which is why many often say that brocolli is healthy.
What does it do? Answer: helps prevent insulin spikes, which will keep your energy levels steady and prevent you binge eating.
So while Chromium doesn’t exactly help you burn fat either, it’ll help keep you away from sugary treats too.
Yerba Mate, Guarana and Kola Nut
We mentioned before that Animal Cuts contained numerous stimulants, well these are the 3 other stimulants apart from caffeine anhydrous.
But this isn’t a good thing; consuming more stimulants means an increased risk from suffering jitters and energy crashes.
As a result, we recommend that you try to only consume supplements containing a sensible dosage of 1 stimulant.
Now, if there’s an ingredient that’s useless, then it’s choline bitartrate.
Why? Answer: because it’s not proven to offer any benefits to improve your workout, but it causes fishy odors in your breath and body secretions.
Ultimately, all you need to know is that this isn’t a good addition to any supplement.
Round 5 Results: Instant Knockout
Pros and Cons
Instant Knockout Pros:
- Optimal dosages of key fat burning ingredients
- Suppresses your appetite
- No risk of side effects
Animal Cuts Pros:
- Contains green tea extract
- Cayenne powder shown to raise your metabolism
Instant Knockout Cons:
- Premium price – more expensive than less effective options
- You can only buy from www.InstantKnockout.com
Animal Cuts Cons:
- Contains numerous stimulants, making jitters likely
- No ingredient to suppress your appetite
- DMAE can cause birth defects
The good news for Instant Knockout, is that it doesn’t contain any nutrients that are likely to cause side effects. And after taking it ourselves for a few months, we can confirm this.
However, due to Animal Cuts containing numerous stimulants, it’s likely to cause jitters; this isn’t what you want when paying for a supplement to improve your body.
As a result, Instant Knockout has landed the final blow here.
Round 6 Results: Instant Knockout
Summary: Instant Knockout vs Animal Cuts
We can see why Animal Cuts is a popular fat burner supplement; it contains some great nutrients, such as green tea extract, green coffee bean extract and cayenne powder – these have all shown to boost your metabolism and promote fat loss.
However, the problem is that it’s likely to cause most people side effects, due to containing numerous stimulants.
For this reason, we would personally choose to pay that bit extra for Instant Knockout – staying safe from side effects is important, especially while you’re trying to make changes to your body.
